Udhyami Seed Camp: Tech Edition, the second edition to STARTUPSNepal’s Udhyami Seed Camp series, has begun today. This rigorous entrepreneurship boot camp designed to help early stage startups is being held at M&S Towers, Pulchowk (previously Meconopsis).
Compared to the women-focused edition that was organised for five days in April, 2017, this edition will be six days long and will cater to startups that incorporate technology in their businesses.
14 different companies have come together to make Udhyami Seed Camp: Tech Edition possible.
16 early stage startups with the most innovative ideas were chosen. This eclectic mix of startups range all the way from construction and health to website designing and agriculture.
Amit Agarwal, co-founder and CEO of Janaki Technology started the formal session with an opening keynote on “Entrepreneurial Mindset”. Based on his own seven-year experience as a tech entrepreneur, he provided the participants with an empowering insight on what it takes to be an entrepreneur, and what it takes to turn an idea into reality.
Following the keynote, each of the 16 teams presented its startup idea and practiced pitching among themselves and the audience. (Pramod Nyachhyon, co-founder at Softuday)
(Kabita Poudel, Co-founder at Vermiponics. A startup looking to integrate vermiculture and hydroponics.)
(Thilen Dorje Lama, Co-founder at Zerostart-an early stage taxi service company that provide safe transportation easily at night.)
The day ended with Govinda Gyawali’s session on Value Proposition. As the head of marketing for Nimbus, Gyawali helped the participants understand the importance of the value they intend to provide to their customers.
This is all for the first day of STARTUPSNepal’s Udhyami Seed Camp. Keep following us for more updates!
